I invite you to learn more about my approach below.
We will start our process with a free 30-minute video consultation. This time will help us get to know one another and assess if I am the right therapist to support you.
Once we start our work together we will collaborate on a treatment plan.
The goal is to help you gain awareness and take action in order to reach healing, transformation, and growth.
As a practicing Catholic + Catholic Psychotherapist my work is rooted in the Catholic faith and incorporates a variety of evidence-based modalities.
Clients who work with me can speak English, Spanish, Spanglish, or mix of these in our sessions.
What we can walk through together:
-
Racing thoughts, panic attacks, overthinking every conversation. We work on what's driving the anxiety, not just managing it.
-
Losing a parent, a pregnancy, a marriage, a version of your life. Grief counseling for losses that others expected you to be over by now.
-
Exhaustion, dread on Sunday nights, guilt when you rest. Therapy for burnout, career stress, and the pressure to be the one who makes it.
-
Painful memories, numbness, always waiting for something bad to happen. EMDR therapy and trauma treatment for what you still carry.
-
Inner child work for the parts of you that learned early to be quiet, be good or be needed.
-
Attachment wounds, abandonment fears, never feeling secure. Therapy for what happened before you had words for it.
-
Learning to speak to yourself the way you'd speak to someone you love.
-
Obsessive doubt, mental rituals, needing to be certain before you can rest. ERP therapy to help you tolerate uncertainty instead of fighting it.
-
First-generation identity, bicultural stress, not fully belonging anywhere. Therapy that meets you right where you are at.
-
You feel divided inside. Maybe you feel like a different person at work, at home, at church. Therapy for when the parts of you pull in different directions.
-
People-pleasing, boundaries, saying yes when you mean no. Becoming who you actually are, not who everyone needs you to be.
How we work
-
ACT builds psychological flexibility; the ability to feel difficult emotions without letting them dictate your choices. Rather than working to eliminate anxiety or pain, we clarify your values and take committed action toward them.
-
Early relationships shape how you seek closeness, handle conflict, and respond to distress as an adult. We identify your attachment patterns and work toward earned security in your current relationships.
-
The mind is made up of parts, each carrying a role or burden it took on to protect you. We build a relationship with those parts (the protectors, the critics, the wounded ones) so they no longer have to run the system.
-
Culture shapes how distress shows up, how families respond to it, and what healing is allowed to look like. That context is an important part of the work. I also practice from a stance of cultural humility which means means I don't assume I understand your world. You define your family, faith, and story and I follow your lead.
-
Some memories stay stuck in the body long after the event. EMDR helps your brain process them so they stop running your present. Offered virtually through bilateral tapping.
-
Unmet developmental needs and early emotional wounds continue to shape adult reactions, often outside of awareness. We work directly with those younger parts of you so they no longer carry the weight alone.
-
Faith is integrated into the clinical work rather than set aside. Scripture, the sacraments, and the truth of your dignity as made in God's image can be woven into treatment.
-
Symptoms rarely belong to one person alone; they develop within family roles, rules, and loyalties passed across generations. We map those dynamics to understand the position you were given and the one you're choosing now.
-
Narrative therapy separates you from the problem and examines the stories you've inherited about who you are. We identify where those stories came from and author something more accurate.
-
The gold standard treatment for OCD. Instead of feeding the doubt with more checking, praying, or reassurance, ERP breaks that cycle by helping you face the fear and learn to tolerate uncertainty.
